Watching without cable

How the 2026 Presidents Cup is Won

All 30 matches are worth one point. A halved match splits the point. A team needs 15.5 points to win the Cup.

If the score finishes 15 to 15, the Cup is shared. There is no playoff and the holder does not retain it, which is the key difference from the Ryder Cup. That has happened once, at Fancourt in 2003. Read the full Presidents Cup format guide for session by session detail, or follow the running score on the Presidents Cup standings page.

Teams and Captains at Medinah

Brandt Snedeker captains the United States. Geoff Ogilvy captains the International team, and he co-designed Medinah’s 2024 renovation with OCM Golf, so he knows the course better than most players in the field.

  • Team USA: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup, Jacob Bridgeman, Jackson Koivun.
  • International team: Si Woo Kim, Ryan Fox, Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim, Sungjae Im, Corey Conners, Nick Taylor, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Ryo Hisatsune, Nico Echavarria.
